The Worcester State volleyball team will be hosting a "Dig Pink" event to help raise money for breast cancer awareness as part of October's Breast Cancer Awareness month. The event will take place on Saturday with the Lancers regularly scheduled matches against Framingham State and Westfield State.
In addition to pastries and water, pink volleyballs ($10, see below) and other pink paraphernalia will be on sale at the entrance to the Lancer Gym. All proceeds going to The Side-Out Foundation. The organization helps both high school and college volleyball programs raise money to go towards research and other "living with cancer" organizations.
The first match begins at 11 AM and the last contest will start at 3 o'clock. All three games will also be broadcasted on www.mascac.tv.
