Jasper Paces Women's Volleyball At Salem State Tri-match

 

Worcester State 3, Salem State 2

Salem, MA --- Senior Becky Lebel (Millbury, MA) was sensational with a blistering .379 hitting percentage as she helped lead Worcester State to a 3-2 win over Salem State in MASCAC women's volleyball action on Saturday afternoon.

After falling behind 2-0 to the Vikings by set scores of 25-13 and 25-19, the Lancers reeled off three consecutive victories, 25-18, 25-22 and 15-11, for the match. WSU is now 8-5 overall and 2-0 in conference action.

Lebel did her damage with 14 kills on 39 attacks while she only had three errors.

Sophomore Alyssa Jasper (Rockland, MA) also added 12 kills and 15 digs as freshman Kaylee Leduc (Swansea, MA) contributed 14 digs and a trio of service aces.

Junior Megan Brown (Dartmouth, MA) did a little bit of everything with eight digs, six aces and five kills. Lebel and third-year Emily Cox (N. Andover, MA) both finished with a pair of block assists each.

As a team the Lancers finished with 12 service aces.

 

Worcester State 3, Daniel Webster 1

Jasper posted a season-best 19 kills to go with 13 digs as she helped pace Worcester State to a 3-1 triumph over Daniel Webster in non-conference volleyball action.

The Blue and Gold improve their record to 9-5 as winners of seven out of the last eight. They earned the win over the Eagles by set scores of 25-20, 25-14, 18-25 and 25-23.

Lebel also posted a double-double with 13 kills and 16 digs while Lewis handed out 48 assists. Lewis also finished the contest with a match-best 17 digs.

Leduc chipped in with 10 digs and Brown pitched in with 13 digs and seven kills.

Worcester State will face off against Westfield State in the Lancer Gym on Tuesday in a key MASCAC matchup on Tuesday at 7 PM.
