Women's Volleyball Drops Season Opener To Brandeis

 

Danbury, CT --- Brandeis captured a 3-0 decision over Worcester State on the first day of competition at the Western Invitational at Western Connecticut's Feldman Arena.

The Lancers were defeated in three straight sets, 25-15, 25-15 and 25-22.

Statistical leaders for the judges were junior Liz Hood (Albuquerque, NM) with 13 kills, senior Yael Einhorn (Mount Laurel, NJ) with 32 assists, 10 digs, and three aces and third-year Elsie Bernaiche (Plantsville, CT) with 13 digs.

Worcester State was led by junior Alyssa Jasper (Rockland, MA) who tallied six kills, classmate Amanda Lewis (Poughkeepsie, NY) who dished out 18 assists and senior Vicki O'Brien (Canton, MA) with 12 digs.

The Lancers will try to get revenge tomorrow against Brandeis at 2 PM tomorrow before finishing things off with the host Colonials tomorrow at 4 o'clock.
