Burgio Leads Volleyball MASCAC All-Conference Honors, Three Named to All-Conference Teams

Worcester, MA- Graduate student Camryn Burgio (Quincy, MA) repeats as MASCAC Defensive Player of the Year as the Lancers place three on the MASCAC 2023 All-Conference teams selected by the conference coaches.

Outside hitter Camryn Burgio of Worcester State repeats as the MASCAC Defensive Player of the Year award winner. The graduate student from Quincy, Mass. led the MASCAC in total digs with 537 and digs per set with 5.26. She was also fourth in the conference in service aces with 54 while adding 73 assists and 34 kills on the year. With this year's All-Conference honors, Burgio now has been named to the team for two consecutive years. Burgio concludes her career with 1386 digs to claim the Worcester State career record.

Joining Burgio on the First Team All-Conference is junior Angela Colonis (Waterford, CT). She concluded her season with 413 assists and 284 digs and currently sits fourth in the records book for career assists with 1211. Being named to the MASCAC second team is senior Maeve Cadogan (Wilmington, MA) who ended the season with 71 total blocks and 48 block assists to claim the top spot in the Worcester State record book with 144.
