LANCERS FINISH 23rd AT UMASS DARTMOUTH

DARTMOUTH, Mass. - The Worcester State University women's cross country team finished 23rd of 30 teams (622 points) competing in the 48th UMass Dartmouth Invitational Saturday morning at the Robert Dowd Cross Country Course.

WPI was the team winner with 69 points, while Wellesley's Ari Marks took home the individual crown (17.38.90).

Junior, Kasey Clark (Dudley, MA) finished first for the Lancers on the 5K course with a time of 20:12.90. Clark's finish was 81st overall. Junior, Erica Hanlon (Shrewsbury, MA) finished 2nd for the Lancers with a time of 21:01.80 - 128th overall. Seconds after Hanlon was sophomore Caitlin Conneely (Tewksbury, MA) with a time of 21:12.80 - 140th. 

Rounding out the top five for the Lancers was Kate Brown (22:20.20 - 172) and Cassidy Lefferts (23:03.80 - 188). 


The Lancers will race next on October 2nd in Warwick, RI for the Community College of Rhode Island Tri-State Invitational at 10:00am.
