Worcester State Women's Cross Country Competes at Framingham State Invitational

Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Women's Cross-Country team returned to action on a chilly Saturday morning as they headed to the first ever Framingham State Invitational, as they competed on the 5K course.

First year Claudia Symonick (Auburn, MA) crossed first for the Lancers in her first race of the season, with a time of 25:34.98, crossing in 11th out of all racers. Crossing in second for the Lancers was sophomore Emily Colantuoni (Haverhill, MA) in a time of 26:08.53, while fellow sophomore Jillian McMenemy (Westborough, MA) crossed just 20 seconds later in a time of 26:28.43. The final Lancer to cross on the morning was first year Gillian McDonald (Sutton, MA) in a time of 42:26.91.

Worcester State returns to the course on October 7th when they attend the James Earley Invitational.
