Narcisse Named To D3football.com Team of the Week

Minneapolis, MN --- Junior Bryan Narcisse (Medway, MA) has been honored on the defensive line of this week's D3football.com Team of the Week for his standout contributions in this past weekend's win over Fitchburg State.

Narcisse finished with six tackles (five solo) which included four tackles for a loss and a pair of sacks for 26 yards as he helped the Lancers defeat the Falcons, 28-14, on homecoming.

His 16-yard sack on third down with a little more than seven minutes left in the fourth quarter helped force a punt and give the Blue and Gold what they needed to run out the clock for the win

The standout defensive end is currently second in the New England Football Conference in tackles for a loss (15.0 for 84 yards), tied for second in total sacks (6.5 for 61 yards). At his position he is second in the NEFC solo stops (41), total tackles (59) and average (6.5 per game).

Among leaders in New England, Narcisse is third in total tackles for a loss and his lost yardage is second overall.

Other regional standouts this week include graduate student Mitch McClune (Pembroke, MA) of WPI at cornerback and punter Reece Attard (Werribee, Australia) of Husson.

Narcisse is the third WSU student-athlete to earn D3football.com accolades as sophomore tight end Casey Hippert (Douglas, MA) was honored on October 2 and third-year Matthew Begley (E. Bridgewater, MA) garnered accolades on October 9.

The Lancers (6-3, 4-2 NEFC Bogan) finish of their regular season with a road trip to Framingham State at 12 PM. Worcester State looks to hand the Rams their first setback in divisional play and claim a share of the regular-season MASCAC title.
