The Lancers, who fell to 4-2 on the campaign, were propelled by junior Molly Kilday (Westford, MA) and Kaila Chase (Northbridge, MA) as they combined for five of WSU's seven markers.

Sophomore Jackie Connors (Ashland, MA) recorded five draws while sophomore Katelyn Murphy (Billerica, MA) distinguished herself with game-highs of four ground balls and a trio of forced miscues.

Fitzgerald, sophomore Bailey Grinnell (S. Hamilton, MA) and Castelline helped give the Fighting Scots a 3-0 lead over the first five minutes of the contest before Kilday helped the Blue and Gold respond with three consecutive markers to equalize the game at the 22:15 mark.

Gordon though used a strong defense to force several WSU turnovers as they closed out the period with a 10-2 run for the 13-5 advantage at the intermission.  Fitzgerald and Blomberg combined for five tallies in the skein for the hosts.

With running time on their side, the Fighting Scots maintained the margin and outscored the Lancers 5-2 in the second period for the final score.
