Conway Snags Second MASCAC POTW Award of the Season

WESTFIELD, Mass. -- For the second time this season, Worcester State senior Clare Conway (Billerica, Mass.) has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Player of the Week.

Conway continued to score in buckets this season, tallying 10 goals and an assist for 11 points this week in a pair of victories. She also added seven ground balls and four caused turnovers as the Lancers went 2-0.

The senior attacker netted four goals, including the go ahead goal and eventual game-winner with 3:13 left in the game in the 12-10 win over Wellesley College. She tallied six goals and
an assist with two ground balls and a caused turnover in the 16-7 win over Mass. Maritime, a game in which she also got credit for the game-winning goal.

Despite playing in only ten of the twelve games, Conway leads the team in goals (32) and points (39) and is fourth with 19 ground balls.

The Lancers put their 2-0 MASCAC record on the line this Saturday when they host Salem State at 12:00 PM.
