6 Women’s Lacrosse Student-Athletes named to the IWCLA Academic Honor Roll

Worcester, MA- On Wednesday July 27th, the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association announced their selections for this year’s Academic Honor Roll. Six Women’s Lacrosse athletes were named among the 1,104 Student Athletes honored in Division III. To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater.

The six athletes receiving this award are Juniors Lily Gendron, Public Health, Lauren McIntyre, Liberal Studies, Emily Pavoni, Early Childhood Education, Bridget Smestad, Psychology, and Seniors Hannah Nolan, Biology and Julia Ravenelle, Liberal Studies. These six athletes were additionally named to the MASCAC All-Academic team along with 11 of their teammates for maintaining a 3.20 cumulative or semester-based grade point average.

“We always pride ourselves on academics so we are performing not only on the field but off” said Head Coach Kelly Down. “We have won the squad award year after year and to make it our top priority every year and still achieve it each year is something I am so I am ecstatic that we managed to accomplish again this year.”
