Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Lacrosse team had a repeat performance for the MASCAC weekly awards as first year Mckayla Fisher (Peabody, MA) was named the Rookie of the Week by the MASCAC for the second consecutive week.
Fisher registered three goals and two assists for five points with seven ground balls, six draw controls and three caused turnovers in two games for the Lancers. Netted three goals and an assist with four ground balls, two caused turnovers and a draw in the 11-10 setback to Southern Maine. Fisher currently has a total of 11 goals and nine assists and 20 points on the young Lancers season.
Teammate, senior Shea Jarvis (Auburn, MA) received honorable mention notice from the MASCAC this week as she netted five goals with three assists and two ground balls in two games for the Lancers. Scored two goals and assisted on two others in the 17-7 setback to Western New England. Then tallied a goal and assist in the 11-10 setback to Southern Maine.
The Lancers are back in action on Wednesday when they host Wheaton College at 5pm.
