  • Condon Named MASCAC Rookie of the Year, Four Named to MASCAC All-Conference

    Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Women?s Soccer team wraps up their fall season with a strong showing in All-Conference voting. First year Erin Condon led the way as she was named Rookie of the Year by the MASCAC Women?s Soccer coaches for her impressive performance this season. Condon was also named First Team All-Conference along with senior Kristen Beidleman (Holliston, MA). Hailey Skowronski (Douglas, MA) and Haley Mignon (Tewksbury, MA) were each awarded with Second Team All-Conference honors.

    Worcester, MA - The Lancers hosted the Framingham State Rams at Coughlin Memorial Field Tuesday evening in a quarterfinal battle in the MASCAC Playoff Tournament. Worcester State started the game extremely hot on offense, scoring 4 goals in the first 25 minutes against a Framingham State defense that played a bot off step.

    Worcester, MA- The stadium lights shined through the fog at Coughlin Stadium on the campus of Worcester State University tonight, as the Lancers played host to the UMass-Dartmouth Corsairs on senior night for the women’s soccer team. The game ended in a 1-1 tie, with seniors fittingly providing the lone goal and assist for the Lancers.

    Worcester, MA- Worcester State Women’s Soccer came out ready to own the pitch on Tuesday night as they squared off against Keene St in a drizzly but determined matchup between the two teams. The Lancers were coming off their first win of the season, as they defeated MCLA Saturday at Coughlin Field. The Lancers, still feeling the sting of last years 2-2 tie, wanted to be sure to maintain a solid possession of the ball all evening.

    Worcester, MA- The Lancers were quick on the trigger in Rhode Island this afternoon as they looked to capture their first win of the season. An early surge had the Lancers looking likely to pull it off, but a defensive shift by Salve Regina in the second stalled the rapid offense.

    Worcester, MA- A total of 1,218 student-athletes have been honored by the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference with selection to the league’s Fall/Winter 2022 All-Academic that was released earlier today by Commissioner Angela Baumann. Worcester State led the MASCAC with 190 Student Athletes named to the Fall/Winter 2022 All-Academic Team.

    Worcester, MA- Worcester State Women’s Soccer player Erin Condon was honored with her second MASCAC Rookie of the Week honor in a row after scoring in the 4-2 victory over Framingham St.

    Worcester, MA- Two Worcester State Women’s Soccer players received player of the week accolades after defeating Salem St in a resounding 3-0 victory on Saturday afternoon. Senior Haley Samara (Worcester, MA), named Player of the Week, and first year Erin Condon, Rookie of the Week, were honored after each nabbed 4 points in the game.

    Worcester State women's soccer has been led offensively by three key players this season. A look at the team leaders in points will show a senior in first place and another senior in third place, but rounding out the top three is Erin Condon, a freshman from East Bridgewater, Mass. who has made the transition into collegiate level soccer look easy.

  • Women's Soccer Announces 2023 Schedule
    Worcester, MA- Head Coach Kevin Cumberbatch announces the release of the 2023 Worcester State Women’s Soccer schedule. The 2023 season will be Cumberbatch’s 16th at the helm, where he looks to continue his perennial success in his bid for a return to the NCAA Tournament. The Lancers squad concluded the 2022 season at 6-10-2, 4-3 in the MASCAC, dropping a tight battle to Westfield Stat in the MASCAC semifinals. The team returns a skillful and young cast of players after graduating from a large senior class last season. The team returns MASCAC Rookie of the Year Erin Condon as she aims to continue her first-year success with a stellar sophomore performance. Ready to work alongside Condon will be the duo of senior midfielder Riley Patenaude and junior attacker Raelyn Callahan along with a strong set of underclassmen ready to ensure the success of the season.
