Adams Leads Field Hockey All-Conference Honors, 5 Named to MASCAC Teams

Worcester, MA- Senior Grace Adams (Leominster, MA) leads the MASCAC in their inaugural end of season awards as Adams was named the 2023 MASCAC Offensive Player of the Year as voted on by the conference coaches at the end of the season. Five Lancers were named to the MASCAC First and Second Teams in their first year as a conference.

Adams’ 19 goals and 45 points helped lead the Lancers to a 13-7 season, 9-1 in the MASCAC and their first ever automatic MASCAC bid to the NCAA tournament. She finished the season first in the conference in goals with 19 and points with 45. She also tallied seven assists and four game-winners. Six times this season she tallied two or more goals, including three conference wins where she netted a hat trick. 

Sitting on the MASCAC First Team with Adams are first year Megan Goodwin (Keene, NH), who ended the season with two assists and two points on the midfield, and sophomore Allison Keenan (Marlborough, MA), who ended the season with two goals, one a game winner, four points a defensive safe in the midfield.

Earning a spot on the 2023 MASCAC Second Team are senior Zoe Athanasopoulos (Hopedale, MA), who ended the year with nine goals and five assists for 23 points as a forward, and junior Madison Avilla (Westport, MA), who concluded the year with five goals, six assists and 16 points with two game winners.

The Lancers concluded their season last night as they travelled to Williams College in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
