MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY TAKES 4th IN SEASON OPENER

Worcester State University's men's cross country team opened the season with a strong showing at the Keene State Alumni Meet. The meet, held at the Owl Athletic Complex (Keene, NH) kicked off the Lancer's 2021 season. 

The team was led by senior co-captain, Drew Fottler. Fottler completed the 5k course in a blistering 15:43 and a 4th place overall finish. He was quickly followed by senior co-captain Patrick Carleton. Carleton earned a time of 16:10, good for a 6th place overall finish. Seniors Wayne Carey (17:38), Sam Magee (18:10) and junior transfer Dan Clark (18:28) rounded out the top 5 performers for the Lancers. The remaining finishers include Ethan Goodreau (18:28), Robbie Doig (19:21), Brody Dobbs (19:38), and Elias Boone (20:28). 

The Lancers earned a fourth place overall finish, out of eight competing teams. 

The Lancers return to the course Saturday, September 18th for the UMass Dartmouth Invitational at 11:15am.
