MASCAC Names Fall/Winter 2024 MASCAC All-Academic Team
January 30, 2025Westfield, MA — A total of 1,610 student-athletes have been honored by the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference with selection to the league’s Fall/Winter 2024 All-Academic team that was released earlier today by Commissioner Angela Baumann. -

Women's Soccer has Four Named to MASCAC All Conference Team
November 13, 2024Worcester, MA- The Lancers Women's Soccer team had four named to the MASCAC All-Conference Second team as sophomore Ella Gumienny (Douglas, MA), junior Ella Tatarczuk (Bedford, MA), sophomore Amanda Cosco (Watertown, MA) and sophomore Julianne Earnest (Columbia, CT) would claim this years honors. -
Lancers Downed by Owls in Second Half Scoring Surge
November 08, 2024Worcester, MA- On a repeat of last season’s MASCAC semifinal meeting, the Worcester State Lancers Women’s Soccer team (9-5-3, 4-2-1) will again make the trip to Westfield State (10-4-4, 6-1) in an endeavor to come away with the victory and a return trip to the MASCAC Championship, their first since meeting Westfield in 2021. The past three MASCAC post seasons have seen the Owls claim the edge over the Lancers, and this afternoon Worcester is looking for vengeance. -
Worcester State Advances to MASCAC Semifinals After Downing Rams
November 06, 2024Worcester, MA- With the opening round of MASCAC Quarterfinal action tonight, the #3 seeded Worcester State Lancers (8-5-3, 4-2-1) welcome to John Coughlin Field the #6 seeded Framingham State Rams (4-14-1, 2-4-1). In their sole meeting this season on October 18th, the Lancers squeezed by the Rams 1-0 off an early first half goal. -
Lancers Take the Victory over MMA to Close Out Regular Season Action

The Lancers are currently fighting to secure the third seed in the postseason tournament with a win helping their path to success for the tournament. -
Lancers Grab Big Win on Senior Night over Corsairs
October 29, 2024Worcester, MA- After a thrilling 0-0 tie this past weekend versus Salem State the Worcester State Women’s Soccer team (6-5-3, 3-2-1) step out of conference to take on UMass-Dartmouth. Today’s game is also the final home game of the regular season for the lancers and will serve not only as their Lancer Game but also their senior day which will honor their six stellar seniors. Being honored before today’s game are #11 Raelyn Callahan (Pepperell, MA), #20 Hailey Santos (Swansea, MA), #7 Maddie Breuer (Hubbardston, MA), #14 Abby MacDonald (Lancaster, MA),#24 Michael O’Brien (Bedford, MA) and #26 Abby Bond (Bolton, MA). -

October 26, 2024Worcester, MA- The Lancer Women’s Soccer team (6-5-2, 3-2) take on the Salem State Vikings this afternoon in their second to last home game of the season. With three conference games to go, Worcester is looking to grab a top place for postseason action. -
Women's Soccer Takes MASCAC Rookie and Defensive Players of the Week
October 21, 2024Worcester, MA- After overtaking the Framinhamg Rams 1-0, women's soccer resulted in a triumphant week. Sophomore goalie, Ella Guimmey (Douglas, MA) had 6 saves on the game with 0.00 GA and was awarded MASCAC Defensive Player of the Week. Her teammate, rookie Ava Chevalier (Brimfield, MA) netted two points in the game including the game-winning goal. Chevalier was awarded MASCAC Rookie of the Week for her contributions to their victory. -
Lancers Extended Conference Win Streak, Taking Down Rams in Shut Out Fashion
October 18, 2024Worcester, MA- As the final two weeks of the regular season hit the schedule the Worcester State Women’s Soccer team (5-5-2, 2-2,) currently sitting at .500, aim to push themselves above the threshold and grab a solid top spot as the postseason edges ever closer. Tonight the Lancers head down route 9 as they square up with the Framingham State Rams in their fifth conference game of the season. -
O'Brien Assists Lancers Past Trailblazers for Conference Victory on Pink Out Day
October 12, 2024Worcester, MA- After an exhilarating 0-0 tie earlier this week over Roger Williams, the Worcester State Women’s Soccer Team (4-5-2, 1-2) is back in conference action and looking to continue their not only recent shutout success, but also extend that into winning success this afternoon versus the MCLA Trailblazers. A win today would put the Lancers at .500 in the conference and see them on a more solid footing for the remainder of the regular season schedule as they aim for a top spot in the postseason. -

Gumienny Named MASCAC Defensive Player of the Week
October 07, 2024Worcester, MA- After a 2-0 week for the Worcester State Women’s Soccer team, sophomore Ella Gumienny (Douglas, MA) was named the MASCAC Defensive Player of the Week. The Lancers upset Western Connecticut in a 1-0 thriller on Tuesday night and followed it up with a 1-0 victory over Fitchburg State to claim their first conference win of the season. -
Lancers Lone Goal Topples Falcons for First Conference Win
October 05, 2024Worcester, MA- Fresh off a home upset of Western COnnecticut on Tuesday Night, the Lancers Women’s Soccer team (3-5-1, 0-2) aim to continue their winning ways and claim their first conference victory of the season. Worcester will welcome the Fitchburg State Falcons to the turf, who Worcester was able to handle last season in 4-2 fashion. -

The Lancers took the Owls to the final moments last year in the MASCAC semifinals and will be looking for a different ending today back on the Owls home turf. -

September 04, 2024Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Women’s Soccer team kicks off their 2024 season this afternoon with a trip to the Wheaton College Lyons. Last year, in the opening game of the 2023 season, the Lancers came away with a 1-1 tie at home and with a depth of returning talent and experience, they aim to grab the opening season victory. -
Lancers Finish in Top Three of MASCAC Preseason Coaches Poll
August 27, 2024Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Women’s Soccer team has been tabbed to finish third in the 2024 MASCAC Preseason Poll as voted on by the conference coaches. The Lancers fell in the MASCAC semifinals to eventual champions Westfield State in a 3-2 loss in a back-and-forth battle to end last season. Worcester finished their season 6-9-2, 5-2 in the MASCAC to claim the third seed in the tournament, a position the Lancers will look to advance beyond this year in their quest to return the MASCAC Championship trophy to Worcester. The team is led by captain and MASCAC First team and CSC All-District team selection Erin Condon. -
Worcester State Women's Soccer Announces 2024 Schedule
May 29, 2024Worcester, MA- Head Coach Kevin Cumberbatch, entering his 17th season at the helm of the Worcester Women’s Soccer team has announced the release of the 2024 schedule, where the squad will look to return to the MASCAC post season and grab their fifth NCAA post season appearance under Cumberbatch. The Lancers squad concluded the 2023 season at 6-9-2, 5-2 in the MASCAC, dropping a tight battle to Westfield Stat in the MASCAC semifinals. The team returns the bulk of their talent from last year, while adding in a breadth of talent in their incoming class to complement the skills continually on display. The team returns MASCAC First Team midfielder Erin Condon as she aims to continue her dominance on the pitch success with another standout junior season for the Lancers. Ready to push the team to success alongside Condon is seniors Abby Bond, a dominant midfielder, and Jessica Forbes, who with an impenetrable presence on defense, and Raelyn Callahan, a starting forward with 13 career goals over two seasons with the Lancers.
