MASCAC Names Fall/Winter 2024 MASCAC All-Academic Team
January 30, 2025Westfield, MA — A total of 1,610 student-athletes have been honored by the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference with selection to the league’s Fall/Winter 2024 All-Academic team that was released earlier today by Commissioner Angela Baumann. -

Lancers fall in MASCAC Quarterfinals in Second Half Surge
November 06, 2024Worcester, MA- In the opening round of MASCAC Quarterfinal action the #4 seeded Worcester State Lancers (4-9-3, 2-2-3) welcome to Coughlin Field for the first time this season the #5 seeded Salem State Vikings (5-7-5, 2-3-2). In their previous meeting on October 26th, Worcester State and Salem ended the game tied 3-3 in Salem after the Lancers jumped out to an early lead that was quickly settled into equal action by the Vikings.

Lancers Play to Regular Season Conclusion Draw with Buccaneers on Senior Day
November 02, 2024Worcester, MA- In the final home game of the regular season, the Worcester State Men’s Soccer team (4-9-2, 2-2-2) are looking for a last conference win to give them a shot at potentially returning home on Wednesday to host a MASCAC quarterfinal matchup. For Worcester though, it is not just the last game of the regular season but a chance to honor their senior class and all their contributions to the program. This year’s class includes #6 Declan Ryder (Worcester, MA), #16 Nate Lewos (Auburn, MA) and #24 Mal Hawkins (View Park, CA) with special recognition to 323 Waseem mahmoud (Northborough, MA) and # 10 Manny Ramirez (Waltham, MA).

Worcester is squeezing in one last non-conference regular season game before they close out the season on Saturday and look to begin a mini win streak that will take them through the Championship.

October 23, 2024Worcester, MA- After a hard fought battle on Saturday that went down to the final minutes, the Lancers Men’s Soccer (3-8-1, 2-2-1) team looks to bounce back as they host former Lancer keeper Andy Ramirez ‘23 and the UMass-Boston Beacons on Coughlin field. Worcester is looking to come away with a big finish against one of the top LEC squads in their non-conference battle.

Lancers Fall in Final Minutes to Rams in Pink Out Game
October 19, 2024Worcester, MA- With a new intensity in their foot after the 1-0 victory over the Trailblazers last week, Worcester State Men’s Soccer (3-7-1, 2-1-1) is back and planned from their hiatus to match up with Framingham State and add another win to their column. While most of their success has been found on the road this season, the Lancers are primed to add their first home win of the season to the record books. Today’s game is also played in partnership with the Rosen Cancer Awareness Fund as this year’s Pink Out Game, which aims to help raise awareness for research, testing and symptoms. Donations are actively being collected to support the campaign.

The past few meetings between the teams have seen a tight rivalry and battle brew, with barely a goal separating the teams, a trend that was looking to go in WOrcester favor today.

August 26, 2024Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Men’s Soccer team was selected 5th in this season’s conference pre-season poll as selected by the conference coaches. The Lancers look to return to the MASCAC Championship this season behind first year head coach Adam Howarth and a talented mix of newcomers and returners to the team. Leading the team into action will be Manny Ramirez alongside dual MASCAC second team selections Brendan Lower and Declan Ryder.

Worcester State Men's Soccer Announce 2024 Schedule
May 31, 2024Worcester, MA- First year Head Coach Adam Howarth announces the release of the 2024 schedule of the Worcester State Men’s Soccer team. In the first season for Howarth, the Lancers will look to build upon their 5-8-4 and 3-4 conference record to return to the MASCAC Championship this season. The team will be guided in their endeavor by senior captain Nate Lewos and 2022 conference First Team All-Conference selection graduate student midfielder Manny Ramirez, the strong presence of senior forward Mal Hawkins, along with 2024 MASCAC Second Team selections senior midfielder Declan Ryder and junior defenseman Brendan Lower, to lead an impactful group of returners and fresh talent to the team.
