Title: Assistant Coach

Dan Koen begins his third year on the sidelines as an assistant men's basketball coach. Koen assists with game day operations, recruiting and scouting opponents.

Previous to coming to Worcester State, he served as the junior varsity coach at Leicester High from 2009 to 2011.

Coach Koen enjoyed success as a three-year student-athlete at Fitchburg State from 2003-06. As an All-MASCAC second-team honoree in his senior year, he averaged 12.7 points per game, 3.3 rebounds per contest and 1.6 steals in 25 games.

During the 2005-06 campaign, Coach Koen also led the MASCAC in three pointers made (64) and three point percentage (.454) while his percentage was 15th in the NCAA Division III. His total three pointers were the fourth-most in a single-season at Fitchburg State - just eight trey's off of tying the single campaign mark.
