Bob Thebeau
Title: Assistant Coach

Bob Thebeau begins his third season as an assistant coach for the Worcester State ice hockey program. He previously coached during the 2006-07 season. 

Coach Thebeau was a standout collegiate player at Notre Dame from 1982-86. As a three-time captain, Coach Thebeau finished his career as one of five defensemen to score of 100 points in their careers.

Through the last season, he was 42nd on the All-Time scoring list and he was fourth among defensemen with 40 career goals and 63 assists. His 40 markers are also a school-record for Irish defensemen. In 2011, Coach Thebeau recieved a nod to the 12 member 1980-90 All-Decade team as a second-team honoree.

After college, Coach Thebeau played a season of professional ice hockey for the Virginia Lancers of the Atlantic Coast Hockey League and en route to scoring 23 goals and 31 assists, his squad won the 1986-87 league championship. 

Prior to his time at South Bend, Coach Thebeau was a two-time Worcester Telegram & Gazette All-Star at St. Peter-Marian. He was inducted into his schools Hall of Fame in 2008.
