Lewis Qualifies for 2018 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field National Championships

WORCESTER, Mass. – Worcester State University's sophomore high jumper, Justin Lewis (Lynn, Mass.) finished in the top 20 of his event to qualify for the NCAA Division III National Outdoor Track & Field Championships which will be held May 24-26 at the Veteran's Memorial Field Sports Complex in La Crosse, Wisconsin.

 

This year, Lewis posted a season best height of 2.12m (6' 11.5") in the high jump and was tabbed the Division III New England, All New England (NEICAAA) and the MASCAC/Alliance high jump champion. His personal record in the high jump is 2.16m (7' 1") which he marked at last year's NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championship to claim the title.

 

He currently stands at second in the nation with the 2.12m (6' 11.5") marking. Presently ahead of him, is Rowan's senior Jeffrey Jon Tucker who has a 2.19m (7' 2.25") mark.

 

Lewis, will be competing on Friday (May 25) at 11 a.m.
