Duah Jr. and Peterson named to MASCAC Second Team

Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Football team wrapped up their fall season with senior defensive lineman Sam Duah Jr. (Worcester, MA) and senior defensive back Noah Peterson (Millbury, MA) being named to the MASCAC Second Team Defensive All-Conference as announced Thursday by the Conference. The All-Conference teams are voted on by the coaches in the conference at the conclusion of the regular season.

Duah Jr. led the team with 27 assisted tackles and finished third on the team in both solo tackles and total tackles with 33 solos and 60 combined. He averaged six tackles a game and recorded a sack for a loss of nine. Duah was also responsible for five tackles for combined losses of 17 yards and one forced fumble over his 10 games this season.

The second member of the Worcester State squad named to the MASCAC Second team- All Conference Defense was fellow senior Noah Peterson who led the team in solo tackles, 40, assisted tackles, 26, for 66 total tackles on the season. Peterson wrapped up his year with 6.6 tackles per game. He also recorded five broken up plays for the Lancers and assisted in tackles for a yard loss.

Duah and Peterson helped lead the Worcester State Lancers to a total of 697 tackles and 42 tackles for a total loss of 150 yards. The Lancers finished the season at 1-9, 1-7 in conference play.
