Lancers Earn No. 2 Seed in Little East Conference Field Hockey Tournament

WORCESTER, Mass. – The Worcester State University field hockey team earned the No. 2 seed in the Little East Conference (LEC) field hockey tournament, as announced by the conference Monday (Oct. 24) afternoon.

 

The Lancers finished their regular season with a 13-5 overall record and a 9-2 record in the LEC. Not only did they come in second in the LEC, but the Blue and Gold have also been declared the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Champions as they posted a 5-0 undefeated record against MASCAC opponents.

 

The Lancers begin tournament play on Saturday (Oct. 29) when they host the No. 7 seeded Bridgewater State (9-6, 6-5 LEC) in a 5:00 p.m. matchup at John F. Coughlin Memorial Field.
