Men's Soccer Stumped by Bridgewater State

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. - The Worcester State University men's soccer concluded its 2019 regular season on Saturday with a 1-0 loss to Bridgewater State University in Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference action at Swenson Field.

With the loss, Worcester State ends its regular season with a record of 8-9-1 and 3-4-0 in the MASCAC.

Bridgewater State got on the board in just the seventh minute, which would hold up as the game's only goal for nearly the entire contest. 

Worcester State was dominant in the second half, but was unable to even the match as the Bears escaped with the win. The Lancers outshot the hosts 12-0 in the second 45 minutes, and led 3-0 in corner kicks. 

Henri Guilmette (Franklin, Mass.) took the loss for the Lancers in goal, making four saves in 90 minutes of action.

The Lancers will host Westfield State in a first round game in the MASCAC Tournament on Tuesday at Coughlin Field.
