Mens Cross Country Places Third At Tri-States Championship

 

Cranston, RI --- Junior Pat Daley (Millbury, MA) finished eighth by clocking 29:41 as he helped lead Worcester State to a third place at the Tri-State Meet Saturday morning at CCRI held at their campus course.

Bridgewater State would earn the victory with a total of 27 points while Wheaton (56) edged out Worcester State (59) for second place.

Senior Tim Mazeika (Millbury, MA) finished in tenth for the Lancers with a time of 30:16 as sophomore Patrick Bova (Princeton, MA) finished two slots behind in 12th (30:35).

Junior Connor O'Neill (Dudley, MA) raced for 14th (30:51) with O'Neill edging out senior Kerry Sabanty (Stoughton, MA) by seven seconds for 15th (30:58).

Second-year classmates Wesley Hebert (Leominster, MA) and Adam Pepin (Paxton, MA) finished three ticks apart in another closely tested intra-squad battle with Hebert earning 17th place (31:16) and Pepin placing 18th (31:19).

Next week the Blue and Gold will run at the James Earley Invitational hosted by Westfield State at Stanley Park. The course will serve as the same site as the MASCAC/Alliance Championships in four weeks.
