Lancers Race at James Earley Invitational

Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Men's Cross-Country team traveled to Westfield State to compete in the annual James Earley Invitational hosted by Westfield State. The 8K course saw over 300 runners compete in the day's event.

Junior Matt Talbot (Belchertown, MA) led the four-man Lancers pack on the day, crossing in a time of 29:59.61, and the 134th runner in his heat to cross the tape. Just five seconds behind Talbot, first year Jacksen Bolduc (Auburn, MA) sailed across the finish in a spring to claim a time of 30:04.23 at the meet. Wrapping up the Lancer quartet were sophomore Alex Matasuyasu (Newton, MA) and Andrew Stokes (Wilmington, MA) who crossed with seconds of each other. Matsuyasu crossed in a time of 32:13.43 as Stokes was just 20 seconds behind, crossing in a time of 32:33.09.

The Lancers return to action next Saturday when they travel to Suffolk University to compete in the Suffolk Invitational.
