Bartlett Repeats as Lancers Win Third Straight Pitcher of the Week

WESTFIELD, Mass. – For the third straight week, Worcester State University softball has earned the Pitcher of the Week award from the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC).

And for the second week in a row, it's sophomore Emily Bartlett (Lowell, Mass.) who is the recipient of the honor.

Bartlett posted a 0.64 ERA over 11 innings in a pair of starts this week. She allowed just six hits and one earned run with seven strikeouts. The versatile sophomore threw a complete-game shutout in the Lancers' MASCAC opener, a 5-0 victory over Salem State, part of a two-game sweep.

Bartlett has made 10 appearances for the Lancers this season, including four games started. She has three victories and a season ERA of 3.09 with 42 strikeouts in 43 innings.

She has contributed at the plate as well, batting .370 with three doubles, a triple, seven RBIs and eight runs scored.

The Lancers are on the road this afternoon for a 3:00 PM doubleheader at Anna Maria, and then will head to Gordon tomorrow at the same time for another non-conference twin bill.
