Lauren Hatfield enters her fifth season as an assistant softball coach at Worcester State.

Coach Hatfield has over 30 years combined coaching experience at the High School and College level at both Division 2 and Division 3. As the Head Softball Coach at Randolph High School, she led her team to its first and only undefeated season in the history of the school. During her 9 years coaching High School Varsity softball her teams won multiple league championships and compiled a record of 130-59. As the Head Softball Coach at Franklin Pierce University, Coach Hatfield led her team to a record number of wins in one season. Her college playing experience includes playing shortstop and third base at Boston College where she led her team in batting average and RBI’s her freshman season, and Franklin Pierce University where she holds the record for highest single season batting average (.481).  After college she was one of 30 players selected to the college All-Star team that played against the USA women’s Olympic softball team in 1996 and 2000. A two-time Division 1 High School State Championship catcher at Leominster High School, Coach Hatfield has been inducted to the Leominster High School Hall of Fame three separate times, twice as a softball team member and once as an individual for her achievements as a 3 sport athlete. Coach Hatfield lives in Leominster with her two children: Sydney and Ryan.
