Worcester State Women's Soccer Ranks Third in Preseason Poll

Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Women’s Soccer Team finished ranked in the top three in the MASCAC Preseason Coaches’ Poll, as announced Wednesday by the league.

The Lancers, who fell in the championship game to Westfield State last year, look to return the conference finals and bring back home the MASCAC Championship. Worcester finished third in the preseason ranking with 39 points, sitting behind conference champion Westfield with 49 points, and seven first place votes, and Bridgewater State with 41 points, and a single first place vote. The Lancers were 5-1-1 during the 2021 conference slate. Hailey Skowronski earned a spot on the All-Conference Team last season after starting 17 games, scoring four times and adding one assist for nine points. Falling behind the Lancers is Salem State, Framingham State, Fitchburg state, MCLA and Mass Maritime in place order.

Worcester State will start their season on September 1 at Wheaton. The game is scheduled to start at 5pm.
