Leicester, MA --- Johnson and Wales took home a 9-0 victory over Worcester State this afternoon at Becker College in non-conference women's tennis action. With the win, the Wildcats improve to 5-3 while the Lancers slip to 1-5.

Erienne Gale (Temecula, CA) along with Melissa Engel (Traverse City, NJ) and Olivia Molhant (Brussels, Belgium) paired up with Jessica Cohen (Norton, MA) to sweep the first and second doubles 8-1 and 6-1, respectively, while all four teammates took first, second, third and fourth singles victories.

Dana Trimborn (North Wales, PA), who won her sixth singles matchup 6-0 and 6-0, teamed with Lindsay Scherer (Wading River, NY) to defeat WSC's Nicole Sellner (N. Attleboro, MA) and Danielle Lehman (Westminster, MA), 9-7.

Worcester State will try for their second victory of the season when they travel to North Adams to face MCLA on Thursday at 3:30 PM while Johnson & Wales will play two conference matches in the next week. On Saturday the Wildcats will play Pine Manor on Saturday at noon and Albertus Magnus on Tuesday at 1 o'clock.
