Leicester, MA --- Senior teammates Megan Nessen (Levittown, PA), Laura Mimms (Ashland, MA) and Shauna McNally (Worcester, MA/Bourne) along with freshman Nicole Connolly (Scarborough, ME) all posted victories in their respective matches for Becker as the Hawks defeated Worcester State, 6-3, in non conference women's tennis action this afternoon.

With the win Becker is now 3-1 while the Lancers slip to 1-2 with the loss.

All were victorious as they each notched wins in first (Nessen), second (Connolly), third (Mimms) and fourth flight singles (McNally). Nessen also teamed with Mimms for the 8-2 win at first doubles before McNally paired with Connolly for the triumph at second doubles, 8-5.

First-year Miranda Biron (Webster, MA) and sophomore Laura Sarkis (W. Springfield, MA) added the Lancers wins at fifth and sixth singles, respectively, while freshman Lisa Higgins (Palmer, MA) and junior Erin Desmarais (Gardner, MA) blanked the competition, 8-0, at third doubles.

Both squads will hit the hard court surface again on Thursday at 3:30. Worcester State will open LEC play with Bridgewater State at Clark University while Becker heads to Anna Maria.
