BRISTOL, R.I. – The Roger Williams University Women's Tennis team ended the fall portion of the season with a 9-0 win over Worcester State University Tuesday evening.

Roger William's Harley Kaiserman (Setauket, N.Y.) and Hannah Schrader teamed together at #3, opening the match with an 8-1 win over Worcester State's Olivia Budney (Webster, Mass.) and Cassandra Goncalves (Ludlow, Mass.). Lauren Schmidt (South Windsor, Conn.) and Julia Akerman (Greenwich, Conn.) collected an 8-0 win over Shelby Jankins (W. Brookfield, Mass.) and Megan Shepard (Middletown, Conn.) at #1. Kathryn Hughes (Westford, Mass.) and Emily Marble paired up for the first time this season to notch an 8-2 win over Nathalie Khafaga (Auburn, Mass.) and Rachel Green (Worcester, Mass.) at #2 to give RWU a 3-0 lead heading into singles.

Kaiserman notched a 6-0, 6-4 win against Jankins at #1 to start off singles play, followed by Akerman with a 6-0, 6-0 victory at #3 against Worcester State's Alexis Silk (Greenfield, Mass.). Caroline McCarthy (Carver, Mass.) rolled to a 6-0, 6-0 win at #5 against Goncalves, while Schmidt took down Shepard 6-0, 6-2 at #2. Gabrielle Riley (Barnstable, Mass.) earned a 6-1, 6-3 win over Khafaga at #5, with Lauren Fletcher (Bristol, R.I.) earning a 6-2, 6-3 victory over Green to end the day.

Worcester State (5-8) will host Plymouth State on October 17 for their last regular season game of the season on the campus of Clark University, while Roger Williams ends the fall season at 12-3.
