Lancer's Golf Compete to Seventh Place Finish at Brett Williamson Invitational

Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Golf team competed today at the Brett Williamson Invitational hosted by Westfield State this afternoon. Sophomore Jon Gastonguay (Ashburnham, MA) was the top finisher for the squad, scoring an 85 on the course. Worcester State scored a team score of 351, coming in 7th on the day.

Competing alongside Gastonguay was senior Pat Rennie (Bridgewater, MA), who recorded one more stroke for 86. Tight behind Rennie was first year Zachary Hurley (Feeding Hills, MA) with a score of 89. Finishing two strokes off his mark was sophomore Cam Verna (Natick, MA) who tapped in his final putt for a 91 while the last of the team was junior TJ Conrad (Rutland, MA) who recorded just one additional stroke to end the day at 92.

The golf team is back in action on September 30th when they compete in the MASCAC Championship.
