Rich Korzec Memorial Invitational Golf Tournament
Since 1997, Worcester State has been host to an annual golf tournament during month of April, just before the close of the Spring semester. The 2015 tournament will be held on Tuesday, April 28 in conjunction with the MASCAC Championships at Blackstone National.
The tournament was started by former WSU Athletics Director Sue Chapman, who was the golf coach at the time, before it was continued by head coach Rich Korzec for 14 years until he passed away in the Spring of 2012.
Rich was also the Associate Director of Facilities on campus. While at Worcester State, he helped oversee the construction of Wayslean and Dowden residence halls.
Jezierski Paces Men’s Golf at 2018 Rich Korzec Invitational
SUTTON, Mass. – The Worcester State University men's golf hosted the Rich Korzec Invitational on Tuesday and marked a fifth place team finish of seven teams in attendance at the event. Senior Michael Jezierski (Thompson, Conn.) paced the Blue and Gold as he, individually, earned a second place finish of 35 golfers at the event.
