Buzzards Bay, MA --- Freshman Zach Hansen (Dexter, MI) has been tabbed as this week's Goalkeeper of the Week for his performances in the net in a pair of ties for the Lancers this past week.

Hansen, a native of Dexter, MI who played juniors for the Kenai River Brown Bears, posted a 1.85 goals against average and a .952 save percentage as he stopped 80 of the 84 shots that came his way. Hansen started off the week with 44 saves in a 2-2 draw against Salem State before he recorded 36 stops in a 2-2 tie with Plymouth State.

Hansen this season has logged 40 percent of the net time for the Lancers with a 1-4-2 record and a 0-4-2 mark against MASCAC opponents. Against conference opponents Hansen has the sixth best save percentage (.895) and the tenth lowest goals against average (4.34) as both marks are the second-best by a freshman in the MASCAC this year.

The Lancers will play a pair of games in the next week starting with a road game at Assumption starting at 7:35 before they entertain Framingham State at 7:30 PM on Saturday at home. WSC has won three straight versus the Ice Dogs since last season and against the Rams the two teams have split their season series.
