Kalczynski Tabbed MASCAC Goalie Of The Week

Buzzards Bay, MA --- Junior Bryan Kalczynski has received the nod as this week's MASCAC Goalkeeper of the Week for a standout performance in a win against Fitchburg State.

Kalczynski, a native of Tonawanda, NY who transferred from Erie Community College, stopped 50 of the 52 shots he saw on net in a 3-2 overtime triumph over the Falcons. The win snapped a 12-game winless streak that dated back to the 2003 season.

In five starts for the Lancers, Kalczynski is 2-1-2 with 190 saves and a 2.69 goals against average. Kalczynski has impressed with a save percentage of .931, which is the second highest total in the MASCAC, while his goals against average is seventh.

Worcester State, under the tutelage of 18th year head coach John Guiney, is currently 3-2-2 and 2-1-1 in the MASCAC. The Lancers are alone in third place and will play two key conference matchups in the next week starting with Westfield State tomorrow at 5:30 and Salem State on Saturday at 4:30 PM.
