Buzzards Bay, MA --- Freshman midfielder Brian Cormier has been selected as this week's MASCAC Men's Soccer Co-Player of the Week for his performance in a 1-0 triumph over Salem State this past Saturday.
Cormier, a product of Hudson, MA, scored the game-winning goal for his first career marker in a 1-0 triumph over Salem State. The victory snapped a 13-game winless streak against MASCAC opponents that dated back to the end of the 2008 season.
Cormier entered the game with a team-leading two assists as he now has a season total of four points, which is good for third-most on the squad.
Cormier shared this weeks honors with Mass Maritime sophomore Chris Young (Falmouth, MA).
The Lancers (4-12, 1-5 MASCAC) look to end their 2010 campaign on a high note when they travel to face off against Fitchburg State in their regular season finale at 12 PM.
