Title: Assistant Coach

Mike Savastra begins his fifth season on the sidelines as an assistant coach.

While his tenure at Worcester State, he has helped the Lancers earn a pair of trips to the ECAC Division III Men's Soccer Tournament. In 2013, the Blue and Gold claimed their first MASCAC title in eight seasons and lost in the conference tournament championship game.

Coach Savastra brings a wealth of experience from playing at the collegiate level where he was a standout midfielder at Southern New Hampshire University.

At SNHU, Savastra helped lead the squad to the 2002 Division II National Finals in his sophomore season and in 2003 he was named to the Second Team All-Northeast 10. Savastra finished an outstanding career fourth all-time in the Penmen record book with 33 assists while the same mark is seventh-best in the Northeast 10 all-time annuls.

Coach Savastra, a native of Glastonbury, CT, also had a one-year stint in 2006 at Assumption. Savastra graduated from Southern New Hampshire in 2005 with his degree in Business Administration.
