Title: Assistant Coach

Dan Santerre begins his fourth season as an assistant coach at Worcester State. Most recently during the 2013 campaign, he helped guide the Lancers to their fifth-straight MASCAC Tournament and to the ECAC Division III New England Tournament Championship game as the seventh seed.

In 2012 and 2011, the Lancers also captured consecutive MASCAC Regular Season titles and in 2011, the Blue and Gold won their first-ever league tournament title and made their first NCAA appearance since 1987.

Coach Santerre brings a wealth of softball knowledge to the Lancer softball program; he previously spent nine seasons coaching at Division II Assumption and two seasons at Nichols. Coach Santerre was named the 1995-96 Northeast 10 Softball Coach of the Year before retiring in 2000 to spend more time with his family.

Coach Santerre has directed various camps and clinics thoughout the Worcester are and he has spent the last seven years as the Head Coach of the Central Mass Xplosion.

Coach Santerre graduated from Nichols College with a BA in Management in 1979. He currently resides in Thompson, CT with his wife Nancy and children Alyson and Andrew.
