Worcester, MA --- Senior goalkeeper Lyndsey Nunes and junior attacker Shannon Feeley have been named to the New England Women's Lacrosse Alliance (NEWLA) All-Conference team as conducted by voting by leagues coaches.
Nunes, a first teamer, garners her third all-conference selection after being tabbed to the first team last year and second team in 2007. This season Nunes led the NEWLA in save percentage (.502), finished third in goals against average (9.93), fourth in total saves (134) and fifth in saves per game (8.93).
Feeley, who was tabbed on the second team, moved up to second place on Worcester State's all-time scoring list with 78 career markers, 47 assists and 125 points. This season Feeley has paced the Lancers offensively with 37 goals, 18 assists and 55 points. Feeley was a first-team selection last year and in 2006.
After losing to Castleton State 6-12 earlier this afternoon in the NEWLA semifinals, Worcester State (9-6) looks to earn an ECAC bid in the upcoming tournament.
