Defensively, fourth-year Kalie Judd (Peabody, MA) and fourth-year keeper Morgan Lemmon paced Plymouth State with six ground-balls apiece.

The Lancers were propelled by two goals from junior Carley MacIntyre (Townsend, MA) and senior Abby Cosenza (Shrewsbury, MA). Cosenza, along with her sister Amanda Cosenza (Shrewsbury, MA), third-year Karla Rotondi (Tewksbury, MA) and sophomore goalie Haley Erickson (Saugus, MA) all registered four ground balls.

PSU began the second period with a 6-1 spurt over the first eight minutes of the frame to break the game wide open at 14-3.

The Panthers would then run the clock down before Worcester State finally responded with three consecutive goals in a two minute span, but that was the only offense they would muster in the last 14 minutes of the contest.

Lemmon played 51:36 between the pipes as she stopped 10 shots while Erickson collected nine saves for WSC.

The Lancers will play again in two weeks as they will head to Rhode Island College for a 4 PM contest while the Panthers will travel to Castleton next Saturday. Their game is slated for a 1 PM start.
