Francis Shea '71
Title: Class of 2002

Frank Shea '71 is being honored for his outstanding contribution to athletes. He has contributed an exceptional amount of time and dedication to Worcester State College. He has served on the Athletic Hall of Fame committee, as well as numerous other committees over the past 30 years, including the Worcester State College Alumni Association.

Frank was one of the originators of the varsity soccer program and played on the soccer team for two years. He was also the manager of the Lancers ice hockey team for four years and also served as the public address system announcer and scorekeeper at hockey games for 12 years.

While at Worcester State, he was the treasurer, vice-president and president of the Men's Athletic Association and was a member of the Lancer Society. He was also a sports writer for the yearbook committee.

He has been very active with the Boy Scouts of America and has received numerous awards from civic and fraternal organizations. He is currently the G.E.D. State Administrator for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Education.
