Worcester, MA- For the second time this season, Worcester State Baseball’s Senior Ben Smith (Bourne, MA) has been tabbed at the MASCAC Pitcher of the Week.

Smith appeared in two games for the Lancers, going eight innings with an earned run, 10 strikeouts, 1.13 ERA and four hits. Threw a complete game shutout, taking a perfect game into the seventh, only giving up two hits with no walks and nine strikeouts in the 1-0 win over Mass. Maritime.

Worcester returns to action on Thursday when they journey to Bridgewater State to take on the Framingham State Rams in the First Round of the MASCAC Baseball playoffs with the winner advancing to a meeting with Bridgewater State at 2:30pm.
