BOSTON, Mass. - Marcus Vieira (Peabody, Mass.), a senior on the Worcester State University men's indoor track & field team, was the lone Lancer to compete Friday at the NCAA Championships at the Reggie Lewis Center.

Vieira competed in the weight throw at the NCAAs for the second consecutive year, but had three fouls without a marked throw on the evening to finish in 20th place.

Vieira and the Lancer men's track & field team will return to competition for the spring outdoor season starting in two weeks at the Bridgewater State Bears Invitational.
