Worcester State Selected Fifth in MASCAC Preseason Coaches Poll

Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Men's Track and Field team was selected fifth in this season preseason coaches' poll as voted on by the conference coaches. Worcester State Claimed three MASCAC Conference titles last year behind the strong performance of junior Brodie Jacques (Rehoboth, MA) and looks to continue the success form their indoor season onto the outdoor track.

Reigning outdoor champions Bridgewater State men have been selected by the coaches from around the conference to claim the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Outdoor Track and Field titles during the 2024 campaign. Bridgewater State claimed four first place votes in this year's poll.

Westfield State is up next in the poll in second place with the final first place vote while Fitchburg State nabbed the third spot in this year's poll. Sitting in fourth is Massachusetts Maritime.

Rounding out the men's poll in fifth is Worcester State. During the 2023 Championship, Brodie Jacques had a solid day for Worcester State. He earned the top spot in three events, including the 100m dash (10.99), 200m dash (22.16) and long jump (6.95m).  

Worcester State kicks off their season this Saturday, March 23rd, when they head to Bridgewater State for the BSU Bears Invite.
