WESTFIELD, Mass. - Rachel Sinclair (Westminster, Mass.), a sophomore on the Worcester State University softball team, has been named both the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Player and Rookie of the Week.

Sinclair had a huge doubleheader on Sunday, going 4-for-6 with two RBIs in a split against Westfield State. Her biggest hit came at the conclusion of game one, when Sinclair recorded a walkoff single in the bottom of the eighth inning to lift the Lancers to a 3-2 win.

Sinclair and the Lancers will return to the field on Saturday for a MASCAC doubleheader against Mass. Maritime. First pitch in game one is scheduled for 12 p.m. and can be streamed live at MASCAC.tv.
