Buzzards Bay, MA --- Junior Danielle Clifford (Attleboro, MA) has been recognized as this week's MASCAC Co-Women's Soccer Player of the Week for her performance this past weekend. For Clifford this is her second career weekly honor.
Clifford had the game-winning assist and she netted a goal for three points in a 3-0 triumph over Fitchburg State as the victory helped the Lancers earn a first-round home game in the upcoming conference tournament.
This season Clifford has totalled three goals and five assists for 11 points, which ties for second place on the squad. Her five helpers are also tied for fourth-best in the MASCAC. Clifford is four points shy of 50 for her career.
Worcester State is the second-seed in the semifinals of the MASCAC Tournament and they will face last years champion, third-seeded Westfield State on Wednesday at 7 PM.
