Women’s Track & Field Wraps Up 2017 at Husky Indoor Invitational

ROXBURY, Mass. – The Worcester State University women's track & field team competed in the Husky Indoor Invitational Saturday (Dec. 9) evening, as three Lancers came in first place in their respective events in a field of competitors from Divisions I, II, and III. The first place winners included Asgerdur Jana Agustsdottir (Akureyi, Iceland), Hannah LoChiatto (Harvard, Mass.) and Justine Murdocca (Milford, Mass.) who broke two personal records on the day.

COACHES CORNER

Head coach Andrea Ouellette was pleased with her team's performance at the 2017 Husky Indoor Invitational. "This was a great showing all around for us," mentioned Ouellette. "Justine Murdocca had two personal records for the day and Jana, Bernice, and Hannah had great days individually. Doreen is just off qualifying for Division III New England's."

"We are in a good place so early in the season, and the team is showing a lot of promise," concluded Ouellette.

The Lancers return to competition on Saturday, January 13th when they travel to the Tufts Invitational.
