Maureen Feyre Febonio '83
Title: Class of 2005

Maureen Feyre Febonio was an outstanding two-sport athlete for Worcester State College from 1979 through 1983 in the sports of softball and basketball.  In softball, Maureen was a four starter in the Lancer outfield.  She was a member of the 1981 Massachusetts State College Conference State title team which posted a 15-5 record and was captain of the softball team both her junior and senior seasons. 

After Maureen's senior season, she was named a 1st Team Division III All-American as well as to the NCAA Division III East All-Region Team as an outfielder.  On the basketball court, Feyre was a member of the most storied team in Worcester State history. 

As a freshman, Maureen was on the 1979-80 AIAW National Championship team.  She was also a member of the team the following season that reached the Final Four of the national tournament.  She was a captain of the basketball team her junior and senior seasons and an all-conference selection her junior year. 

Maureen graduated cum laude in 1983 with a degree in Urban Studies and was selected as a "Who's Who in American Colleges".  She was also a member of the Omirron Delta Upsilon Honor Society for Economics.  It is with great pleasure that we induct Maureen Feyre Febonio  into the Worcester State College Athletic Hall of Fame.
