Field Hockey Hosts "Play 4 The Cure" Game Against Clark On Tuesday

In coordination with National Breast Cancer Awareness month, the Worcester State field hockey team will be hosting a "Play 4 The Cure" game on Tuesday, October 14 as the Lancers entertain Clark in a 7 PM matchup.

The Blue and Gold join one of the many field hockey teams across the country who are participating in the "Play 4 the Cure" fundraising campaign to try and secure donations for the National Foundation for Cancer Research, which became the official charity of the National College Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) this past August.

The "Play 4 the Cure" movement, created by Mystix Field Hockey Club founder and director, head coach Tina Reinprecht, is dedicated to the mothers of players in the Mystix Field Hockey Club who fought the fight against breast cancer. The National Foundation for Cancer Research is dedicated to funding cancer research, providing cancer prevention education as well as early detection to the public.

Those in attendance at Tuesday's game are encouraged to wear pink to help support the cause. The fundraising efforts of the field hockey squad will continue throughout the month.
