Johns Named MASCAC Rookie of the Week for Fifth Time on Season

Worcester, MA- After an action-packed stretch of games that saw the Lancers face off with two conference opponents and the #11 team in DIII, the Lancers had first year Emily Johns (Clinton, MA) named for the fifth time this season as the MASCAC Rookie of the Week.

Johns collected a goal and three assists in three games for the Lancers. Tallied an assist in the 3-2 win over Framingham State. Added a goal and two assists in the 4-3 setback to Anna Maria. Johns would end the week with a +3 on the ice in the 1-2 stretch for Worcester. On the season she has recorded 14 points off eight goals and six assists for a +15 thus far in action.

Worcester State will return to action on Friday at home when they host Curry at 7:10pm at the Fidelity Bank Ice Center.
