Bridgewater State 9, Worcester State 0

Worcester, MA --- Bridgewater State College rolled to a 9-0 victory over Worcester State this afternoon in non-conference women's tennis action at WPI's AJ Knight Tennis Courts. With the win, the Bears remain undefeated at 5-0 while the Lancers slip to 1-2.

Lauren Donnelley (Centerville, MA), Jessica Francis (West Barnstable, MA), Paulina Ucher (Webster, MA), Catarina Rosa (Fall River, MA), Danielle Linscott (Uxbridge, MA) and Paula Araujo (Fall River, MA) all took home wins in their respective singles matches. In the second singles Worcester State's closest match, senior Brittany Cullen (Milford, MA) dropped the first set 0-6, but then took Francis to the extra tie-breaker (6-3), but Cullen hung on, 10-7.

In doubles action, Donnelley paired up with Francis, Rosa teamed up with Ucher, and Bridget Murphy (Mattapoisett, MA) along with Jenna Nowlin (Bridgewater, MA) triumphed by scores of 8-0, 8-3, and 8-4, respectively.

Worcester State will hit the road and take-on Becker on Thursday at 3:30 PM and MCLA on Saturday at 11 AM. In the next week Bridgewater State will travel to Wesleyan (CT) on Wednesday, host Roger Williams on Thursday and face-off against Rhode Island College on Saturday.
